Continuing Education Courses

The New York Tech's Energy and Green Technologies Laboratory is a living lab that opened in April 2019 under the Department of Energy Management. The EnTech Lab, in collaboration with Clean Energy Academy (CEA), offers certification asynchronous courses on buildings' energy efficiency and heating, cooling, lighting, and building envelope systems.

HVAC Systems and Energy Efficiency Measures (Certificate Course)

This course is derived from a training program for auditors of the Con Edison Small and Medium Business (SMB) Program and
other small commercial-focused energy efficiency programs. Students will gain a foundational understanding of thermodynamic laws, heating and cooling systems’ operational specifications, and methods of analyzing and calculating heat load and energy consumption.

Equivalent Hours: Earn 45 PDHs/4.5 CEUs

Modality: Asynchronous

Includes Certification of Completion
