Dr. Ehsan Kamel (Lab Director)

Ehsan Kamel, Ph.D., is director of the Energy and Green Technologies Laboratory at NYIT and associate professor in Energy Management. His research focuses on building energy modeling, BIM applications, building envelope, and building science.

Dr. Alain Boldini

Alain Boldini is an assistant professor in Mechanical Engineering at New York Tech, with degrees from Politecnico di Milano and Politecnico di Torino, and a doctorate from NYU Tandon. He specializes in complex system mathematical modeling.

Dr. Ali Kazemian

Dr. Kazemian is an Assistant Professor at LSU in Construction Management, specializing in robotic construction and 3D printing. He has extensive experience in both academia and industry, including work at Contour Crafting Corporation.

Dr. Shaya Sheikh

Professor Shaya Sheikh 

obtained his Ph.D. in Systems Engineering from Case Western Reserve University in 2013. He collaborates with the EnTech Lab on different research projects in the area of data-driven energy models and data mining for buildings energy-related data.

Aydin Farajidavar is the director of Integrated Medical Systems Laboratory and an Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at NYIT. He is collaborating with the EnTech Lab on developing wireless multi-functional sensors for collecting environmental data.

Ramin Jalilian

Ramin is a PhD student at New York Tech, currently focusing on the automation of Urban Building Energy Modeling (UBEM). His research integrates physics-based energy modeling tools with data science and high-performance computing (HPC) techniques to evaluate the energy behavior of urban buildings.
